(e.g. Asteroids are called minor planets because they move around the Sun like planets, but are smaller and oddly shaped. There are millions of known asteroids, and probably many more even smaller ones! Most of these are between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.)Chris Ferrie is a physicist, mathematician, and father of four budding young scientists. I absolutely adore this book! I'm going to college and hoping to earn a degree in Astrophysics and then would love to teach children how fun astrophysics can be. I bought this book for my autistic 5-year old daughter after buying her two other books from this series. She absolutely loves them and I thoroughly enjoy reading them with her. I plan on purchasing another one of these books to give to my physics professor for his 3 year old son. I'm so stoked that this book has made it into our home!

I love this concept of teaching science in three different levels! It’s a brilliant idea. But as an elementary science educator, I was disappointed that the graphics of earth orbiting the sun doesn’t show the earth’s tilt. So many people have the misconception of how we have seasons(it’s earth’s 23.5 degrees tilt) and it’s because of these drawings. All the other science is right on, but I’m bummed that this book is continuing that misconception.

I am pushing pretty hard for my 4mo to be the next Neil DeGrasse-Tyson, and when I saw this book and the Astro-Physics for Babies books appear in the daily deals - I jumped on it. First of all, I absolutely love the concept and the design is really cute. It's easy to read, and can be read in a bed-time scenario. I think I got through D is for Dark Matter when my little one started to get sleepy :)I think these are really great for learning, and helps to develop a healthy curiosity for science at a young age. I have no doubt these books will grow with my daughter, and I'm excited to see if she does take interest in all things space!

I got this for my nearly 2 year old son, becuase he loves when we read to him and he shows interest in science. I found the book to be very interesting and educational for me as well, it may be a little advanced for a two year old but it’s not too early to introduce the concepts to a toddler. Great book!

I really like that this book has several stages of learning. I think my son will enjoy it as he ages and I personally love all things space related so it's fun for me too. I only wish the illustrations were a little better and engaging.

There are 3 stages, early baby (with basic alphabet of space), young learning (with brief descriptions of the object in space) and then the more advanced stage gives you a more in dept description. Super neat book for nerdy parents! And I scored major auntie points.

Love this book! I really appreciate how versatile this book is. With 3 levels of engagement it will keep the little ones happy for years. The pictures are beautiful.

awesome book for toddlers on up! I think his dad and I enjoy this more right now, we love science. But I’m sure this will be a good one for a long time! Looking on getting the rest of the series!
